Jason learned the value of hard work at an early age.  From the time he was 13 years old, Jason was not without a job.  He started by delivering newspapers in the early morning hours before school, often starting and finishing his day in the dark after athletic practices.

Like many young people growing up in the small towns of Eastern Iowa, Jason worked in the fields and on farms for summer income, baling hay and walking acres of corn fields chopping weeds for seed corn companies.  Jason also worked various jobs through high school graduation to pay for his car insurance and sports activity costs.
